Shipping & Returns

Production Times

Most curated pieces are produced to order in small Italian workshops. Standard production lead time is approximately four weeks, depending on the maker, quantity, finish and production schedule. Bespoke commissions and larger project orders are quoted individually. Lead times are indicative rather than guaranteed.

Shipping Methods

ARVEMIO can arrange worldwide delivery through specialist art and design couriers, with appropriate packing or crating for fragile ceramic, stone and decorative pieces. Shipping costs, duties and applicable taxes are confirmed at quotation stage.

Clients may alternatively elect to collect the goods, or appoint their own carrier or freight forwarder. Where transport is arranged independently by the client, responsibility for the goods and transit risk passes in accordance with the agreed collection or delivery terms once the goods are handed over to the client or the client's appointed carrier, subject always to any mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Custom Production

Custom pieces begin production upon receipt of the agreed deposit. Timelines are confirmed in writing before commencement.

Inspection on Delivery

Upon delivery, the client should verify the number and external condition of all packages before accepting the shipment. Any visible damage, impact, puncture or deformation of the packaging should be recorded with the carrier at the time of delivery and documented with photographs.

If possible, goods should be accepted subject to inspection where the packaging shows signs of damage. Photographs of the outer packaging, internal protection and affected object should be retained to support any transport claim.

Damaged Deliveries

Where delivery is arranged by ARVEMIO, any visible transit damage should be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of the goods and packaging. Where transit damage attributable to the ARVEMIO-appointed carrier is verified, ARVEMIO will coordinate the appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement or remake.

Where the client arranges collection or appoints its own carrier, ARVEMIO is not responsible for loss or damage occurring after handover to that carrier, except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded under applicable law. Clients using their own carrier should arrange appropriate transit insurance and pursue transport claims directly with that carrier.

Reporting within 48 hours assists prompt resolution of transport claims.

Handcrafted Character

ARVEMIO works with objects produced and finished by hand. Minor variations in colour, glaze, decoration, texture, dimensions and surface finish are inherent to artisanal production and make each piece unique. Such variations should not normally be considered defects provided that the goods remain consistent with the agreed specification and intended character.

Returns & Cancellations

All ARVEMIO orders are project-based, commissioned or procured specifically following confirmation of a quotation. Confirmed orders are therefore non-cancellable and non-returnable, except in the case of verified defects, non-conformity with the agreed specification, or where otherwise expressly agreed in writing by ARVEMIO. Goods must not be returned without prior written authorisation from ARVEMIO.

Defects & Non-Conformity

Any defect or non-conformity must be notified to ARVEMIO within 14 days of delivery, accompanied by clear photographic evidence and the relevant order or invoice reference. ARVEMIO will assess the claim and, where verified, determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with the agreed order terms. Goods must not be returned or shipped back unless expressly authorised by ARVEMIO in writing.

Transit damage is handled separately under Damaged Deliveries above. For any claim, please write to hello@arvemio.com.
